Are you a hands-on worker who enjoys staying physically active and gets energy from working in a dynamic warehouse environment? Then this job as an order picker is exactly what you are looking for. In this role, you will work with modern tools such as an EPT and voice picking, ensuring together with your team that all orders are shipped on time.

Functie

As an order picker, you are responsible for collecting customer orders. You will work with an EPT (electric pallet truck) and a voice picking system, allowing you to work quickly and efficiently.

Your tasks:

  • Picking orders using an EPT / order pick truck

  • Following instructions via a voice picking headset

  • Placing products on roll containers

  • Checking orders for accuracy and completeness

  • Preparing orders for shipment

Together with your colleagues, you ensure that everything is processed correctly and on time. Teamwork is key: you start together and finish together.

You will work in a warehouse with different temperature zones:

  • Dry goods: approximately 18°C

  • Chilled area: approximately 4°C

  • Freezer: approximately -25°C

Working in cold environments is part of the job. You will receive an additional allowance (€0,58 per hour) for this.

The work pace is high, meaning you will stay active throughout the day and work efficiently to complete all orders on time.

Working hours

You will work in a 2-shift system:

  • Morning shift: 07:00 – 15:00

  • Afternoon/evening shift: 16:00 – 00:00

Important to know:

  • Your start time is fixed, but the end time may vary

  • The team works according to the “start together, finish together” principle

  • Flexibility and teamwork are important

  • Experience with an EPT

  • Physically fit and able to work at a steady pace

  • Available for a 2-shift schedule

  • Comfortable working in a cold environment

  • Living in the Schiedam area or having your own transport
